Friends Academy Celebrates Unity Day with First Community Group Meetings

On Thursday, October 10, the Friends Academy community wore orange to honor Unity Day, part of Bullying Prevention Month. The day was also marked with the first meetings of all-school Community Groups, which bring together students and adults in all divisions to strengthen bonds across campus.

Quaker Education: A Gift For Life

We are profoundly grateful to the scores of dedicated volunteers from every school constituency – parents, alumni, trustees, faculty, staff, parents of alumni, grandparents and friends – who work tirelessly with our Development Office to support all of our fundraising initiatives. We celebrate Friends Academy’s commitment to Quaker education here on Long Island and honor members of our community who provide leadership, time and financial resources to build our school and enable it to grow. We owe our predecessors much and our supporters honor them with generosity and the strength of commitment.

In the Quaker spirit of caring service to others, your support makes possible the education of the intellect, imagination, spirit, and body of each student and affirms the faculty, staff and administration in our calling to the essential relationship in school – the connection between caring and committed teachers and able and eager students.

At Friends Academy, we strive to celebrate and nourish the unique gifts and talents of each student and to make learning a joyful and empowering experience. Participation in annual giving is critical to the success of our school. We rely on the shared commitment from all in our community to support our mission and Quaker traditions.
