The times they are a-changin'
Once again war dominates our lives...this time it’s Vietnam. JFK’s presidency is cut short by Lee Harvey Oswald. Martin Luther King Jr. inspires a generation and teaches the nation about the power of non-violence. The Civil Rights Act and the Voting Act go into effect. Tragedy strikes again with the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy. A giant leap is taken as Neal Armstrong walks on the moon. The Beatles. Woodstock.

"Cold walks to assembly, the swings on a sunny spring day, ivy crawling up the girls' gym, snowball fights on the soccer field, the glass house, hiding from the cold wind, a brown leaf pile, yearbook deadlines, knee-socks, weejuns, half-finished college applications, hacking off at the ten minute break, a yogurt at lunch, a humanities trip to NY...bees in the fallen apples, graduation day."
