Runners ranked fifth in county; first and fourth in conference.


The Friends Academy Winter Track team continues to compete with solid results, as the small squad of boys and girls reached the midpoint of their season.

Current Highlights:

  • Matthew Storch – ranked 5th in Nassau County with new personal best of 6.71 in 55m. dash.
  • Caroline Green – ranked 1st in Conference 3 in the 600m. run.
  • Emma Knopf – ranked 4th in Conference 3 in the 300m. dash
  • Nyah Thomas – ranked 5th in Conference 3 in 55 m. dash
  • Karly Eberly – ranked 6th in Conference 3 in 3,000m. run
  • Owen Ingrassia – ranked 7th in Conference 3 in 600m. run.

On Monday, Dec. 17th, the team competed in the Wayne Gardiner Holiday Relays at Ocean Breeze on Staten Island against 35 other teams of boys and girls from New Jersey and New York.

  • Boys Sprint Medley 20th 4:11.74 (Angel Mendoza, Owen Ingrassia, Zachary Ragozino, Ethan Lowenstein)


The Varsity Team will compete in the Conference 3 Championships on January 15th and County Championships in early February.
