The Artist's Institute

The Artist's Institute is a unique summer day program for students interested in the creative and performing arts. This five-week program is designed around the concept that the best learning takes place when we are comfortable, supported and having fun.

The program is highly individualized with students ranging in age from 5 to 14. We accept no more than 60 students a summer and have a staff ratio of four to one. Students work primarily with others their own age but time is also devoted to mixed age activities. In this way younger students can benefit from the role modeling of older students and older students can be reminded of the importance of freedom and play that younger students personify. Students get the opportunity to design and create their own performance project each summer, and see it brought to life at the culminating Arts Festival.
