Welcome to Friends Academy!

In keeping with our heritage as a Quaker school, our caring and talented faculty and staff believe that each student has unique talents and gifts, and we are dedicated to helping students joyfully express their potential through our superb and exciting programs.

Our goal is to prepare each and every student to be successful in life and to make a difference in the world. We believe that character and achievement are inseparable, so we encourage and celebrate excellence in everything that our students do while insisting that we treat each other with kindness and respect. We want our students to act with integrity; serve others; advocate for justice, peace, and equality; and develop a lifelong passion for seeking truth. We are an inclusive and diverse community that welcomes parents to share in the experience of their children. We truly value being together each day.

Since our founding in 1876, we have created a community where timeless traditions and cutting-edge innovations combine to fuel our imaginations and energies as we look to the future with hope and optimism.

I hope that, as you find out more about Friends Academy through our website, you are encouraged to visit our campus and speak with faculty, administrators, students, and families. I am confident that you will discover a school and community that you will want to join.

William G. Morris, Jr.
