"My love for the arts has been nurtured from my first days at Friends Academy. In the Middle school I was introduced to all forms of art with theater, music and visual arts classes. I performed in plays which allowed me to explore dance, music and acting. And I was exposed to art and artists whose talent, hard work, and enthusiasm showed me what was possible. The knowledge and ideas I took from each experience made it possible for me to focus and find my passions in the Upper School.
Today I am involved in both visual and performing arts with a photo class, a design and a theater class. For me art and theater classes serve as a break in my hectic schedule. I look forward to the calm of the darkroom and the energetic banter of C Block Theater.
The arts at Friends Academy have had an immeasurable impact on the person I have become; the skills I have learned have shaped my goals and interests, the students I have grown with have inspired me, and the teachers who have taught me have built my understanding and confidence, through example they have taught me the immense value of nourishing your passions."
