THE FRIENDS ACADEMY Middle School is a rich and diverse environment. In the arts, we focus on these three years as a time for students to not only attain new knowledge, but to begin to blend that knowledge with a greater understanding of oneself, and how to function in the world. Students gain confidence as their skills develop and their awareness grows as they work in collaboratively. The arts are an important key to helping students develop their critical thinking skills as connections are made between their different studies and students develop an understanding of the larger themes that weave throughout their world.
