WE HAVE NAMED our department the World Languages and Cultures Department in order to emphasize the fact that we live in a global village, where communication and cultural understanding have become increasingly important. Our name reinforces Friends Academy’s longstanding commitment to developing and nurturing a diverse community, where diversity includes a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
We offer French, Spanish, Latin and Ancient Greek in the Upper School. We will also offer Mandarin language and culture in the Middle and Upper Schools starting in autumn 2007.
