STUDENTS ENROLLED IN visual arts classes in the Upper School explore the elements and principles of visual art through a wide variety of media and techniques, develop and expand their artistic voice, and refine their creative and conceptual visions. A variety of courses are offered, from the most basic drawing and design courses to Advanced Placement Portfolio levels. In addition to studio projects, students are asked to participate in critiques and dialogues on art history.
Student work is exhibited in the Atrium and around the school. At the end of each semester, students exhibit in the Dolan Center Art Gallery. AP Portfolio students exhibit their portfolios in the Gallery at the end of each school year.
